BEHOLD #193 – Acupomture

Acupomture is a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in which thin needles are inserted into the Pom body to bring it back into harmony and balance. It is most often used for pain relief but can be used to treat many other ailments and imbalances in the body or to prevent ailments. Dr. P.O.M. (which stands for Puncturer Of Meridians) treats Poms based on the eight principles of modern TCM: exterior, interior, cold, hot, empty, full, and yin and yang. His three daughters, Balance, Harmony, and Martha, are training right now to follow in his footsteps (or needle steps). They are learning that there are over 2,000 Acupomture points in the Pom body connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create energy flow or “Qi.” Balance is going to specialize in scalp Acupomture. Harmony is going to specialize in Acupomture for female Poms. And Martha is going to specialize in Acupomture for animals. With over 2,000 years of knowledge at their Pom tips, there is plenty to learn. Acupomture in Pomerica has Pomsident Nixon to thank. Before he was pompeached, he took a widely publicized trip to China where a reporter for the New York Times accompanying him needed an emergency appomdectomy. The reporter’s pain was successfully treated with Acupomture and the rest is history. Dr. P.O.M. encourages you to get some Acupomture and to take great care of yourself now and in the new year. He wishes everyone a happy, healthy, pomtastic new year!
