Beatrice was born in a sacred temple in India. She lived a blessed – and boring – existence being worshipped every day, so she uprooted herself and set off for adventure. After arriving in Beverly Hills, she worked her way up to being the Manager of the Spa at the Pomninsula Hotel. As a lotus, she creates beauty, spirituality, and rebirth. Her color blue creates relaxation. So there is no one more perfect for this work of bringing serenity and rejuvenation to the Pom people. She explains to her glamorous (and stressed) patrons that SPA is an acronym from ancient Roman times that stands for “Sanus Pom Aquam,” meaning “Health for Poms through water.” Weary pomgionnaires in the Roman Empire could go to these waters and relax and heal themselves after battle. Now weary starlets, executives, world travelers, entrepreneurs, and Poms of all trades can do the same at Beatrice’s Spa. Beatrice meditates on gratitude and being of service 98% of the day, and the other 2% of the day, she manages and trains her staff, does payroll, makes sure the spa is fully stocked with lotion and towels, and that everything is in working order – all with a smile on her beautiful, serene face. She believes in working smart (not hard) and boy, is she good at it. I feel more relaxed just looking at her!
