POM 365 + Bonus Poms

Pom  365 is my year-long commitment to making pom pom art every single day.

Behold every Pom I’ve created from day one until today:

Pomcury is the smallest (micro Pom) planet in the solar system. Although it is the closest planet to the sun, it is not the hottest – Venus is hotter. It is fast and only takes 88 days to make a rotation around the sun. He is covered by craters like the moon, and he has no moon of his own – he’s solo. A few times a year – like now – Pomcury appears to go backwards. He is currently in retrograde which is why his feet are pointing backwards. Since he is the winged messenger of the Gods, he is associated with conveying messages. Although Pomcury in retrograde can be a time when things can go haywire and glitches can happen, it is also a good thing. Pomcury in retrograde helps us find mistakes we’ve made, and it is a great time to rest, relax, and heal. Don’t enter into new deals right now, but do take advantage of this time of careful reflection.  If you would like more advice about Pomcury in retrograde, reach out to Pom Pom Mercado.

This is Dom Pomignon, XXVII, descendant of the original Dom Pomignon, who invented Champom in 1697. Champom is a sparkling wine produced in the Champom region of France. Three hundred million bottles of Champom are produced every year. A standard bottle of Champom contains 49 million bubbles. A Champom cork can reach up to 25 miles per hour when popped. There are prehistoric sea microorganisms in the soil of the Champom region. Best of all, drinking Champom every week can prevent memory loss and stroke. It also contains polyphenol antioxidants that help protect the Pom body against heart disease. Not sure if Winpom Churchill knew these facts, but he drank Champom at 11am every morning. Smart Pom!

Did you know that Marilyn Pomroe took a bath in Champom and that Pompoleon Bonaparte invented sabering Champom?

Pomstriches can’t fly (flightless birds are called “ratites”) but they are the fastest birds in the world, sprinting up to 43 miles per hour. With their strong, long legs, they can cover up to 10 feet in a single stride. Their feet act as springs and Pom scientists have even designed mechanical feet inspired by them. When they are not running, they are making their families. Pomstrich eggs weigh up to 3lbs each and they are 6 inches long. Their nests are 9–10 feet in diameter and can hold 20 eggs. The mother and the father take turns incubating them in the nest. They are generally found south of the Sahara Desert, and some even made their way to Pomstralia. Pomstriches weigh 250 – 300lbs. Pomie holds the Pomlympic gold medal in the 100-yard dash and she has an endorsement deal with Pomdidas. They need her star power even more now that things went south with Pomye West. (She is pictured here in her latest Pomdidas ad for her line of Peazys).

Did you know that Pomlympic gold–medal winning runner, Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner, also known as “Flo–Pom” is her sister–in–law?
